What is Belbien?

Belbien is an alternative solution for property owners when renovating their space. Rather than replacing surfaces, their architectural film allows for existing smooth, solid and non-porous surfaces to be resurfaced. Many of the surfaces in your building are simply outdated and need a redesign.

The cost for demolition and replacing materials can be very expensive, not to mention the lost revenue associated with downtime. With architectural film, there is zero downtime and construction mess.

Unlike conventional wallcovering or laminates, Belbien has a pressure sensitive adhesive. For this reason, it is strongly suggested that customers only use trained and certified installers, like Engineered Group, to help ensure a successful installation.

Frequently asked questions.

How many Belbien finishes are there?

Over 600, covering warm woodgrains, chic metals and elegant marbles, plus custom finishes.

Is Belbien suitable for spaces that get cleaned constantly?

Yes. It is a resilient, nonporous material, which is what makes it appropriate for frequently cleaned environments. It is also fire rated.

Can I have the film installed by anyone?

We strongly recommend a trained, certified installer. Unlike conventional wallcovering or laminate, these films use a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and the finish you end up with depends heavily on surface preparation, temperature and experience.

How disruptive is the work?

Very little. The film is applied on site to the surface you already have, so there is no demolition, no construction dust, no VOCs and no operational downtime while a replacement is fabricated and delivered.

How much does an estimate cost?

Estimates are completely free. Tell us the surface and the scope and we will come back with a real number, along with a sample of the finish.
