Our team at Engineered Group recently completed this project for The Enzian Theater, giving their main theater doors a much needed makeover. Located in Maitland, Florida, The Enzian Theater is a nonprofit arthouse movie theater that hosts the Florida Film Festival and several other local film festivals.
As is the case in many of our projects, we were brought in to provide a value-engineered alternative for construction projects looking to stay within their target budget and timeline.
Our team is no stranger to active problem-solving and providing unique solutions. This project required our team to custom cut the film by hand; something that takes years of practice and experience and is somethings lots of companies wouldn’t take on.
As a dealer and installer of architectural finishes and overlays, we knew that there would be a overlay in Reatec’s vast catalog that matched the look that The Enzian Theater was going for. We completed the project far faster than projects like this typically take, which is one of the many benefits that using architectural overlays provide.
After discussing with the client the vision for their project, we landed on using Reatec architectural finishes to help create the space that they wanted. Reatec is an excellent option for clients looking to renovate their space or in new construction builds as it is lightweight, highly durable, affordable, and can be applied to both interior and exterior applications.
There are over 1000s of patterns and finishes to choose from in, including metal, wood, stone, and leather. For this project, we went with a a wood grain to match the classic, arthouse look the theater has. We used Reatec RW-4089 to create the wood grain look on multiple features in a wall and the main theater doors.
We and the team couldn’t be happier for how the project turned out. We were able to create a high-end interior for a fraction of the cost the builder would have had to pay for the real wood materials.
