All New Doors For Guest Rooms At Disney’s Contemporary Resort

About the Location

Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a deluxe resort at Walt Disney World located just steps away from Magic Kingdom. On October 1, 1971, Disney’s Contemporary Resort held its opening day ceremony. The resort’s design was seen as the height of modernism, displaying clean lines and bold splashes of color. Since then, the resort has seen an estimated 58 million customers per year. With this many visitors each year, the resort constantly needs to refresh its looks.

The Need

As Walt Disney World prepared to celebrate its 50th anniversary in October 2021, Walt Disney Imagineering has continued to build on the optimistic spirit of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, enhancing the modern vintage aesthetic and evoking Tomorrowland with a dash of something Incredible!

The Update

The Engineered Group proudly installed all nine floors of guest room doors in the tower using Reatec Architectural finishes TC-4238. Here’s a look at the décor debuted at its 50th Anniversary celebration. As you can see, these rooms blend a sleek Monorail motif with some favorite characters from Pixar Animation Studios’ Incredibles films, including Jack-Jack, Frozen, and Edna Mode. New custom artwork in guest rooms and along guest corridors is modern, futuristic, and stylish, completing the resort’s design while displaying the Supers’ powers.

By resurfacing old, outdated doors with Reatec Decorative Architectural Film to repurpose the doors in this project, the owner saved $67,400! Contact us to see how we can help you reduce costs and save time with an option that is durable, easy to clean and disinfect, and is Class A Fire-Rated!
