Engineered Group was tasked with installing architectural finishes on the beams in the luxury apartments at the Everwell at Bexley. Everwell at Bexley is located in Land O’ Lakes, Florida and consists of 350 luxury apartment units spread across 3 and 4 story buildings focusing on a modern farmhouse design theme.
As is the case in many projects we tackle, our team was brought in to provide a value-engineered alternative for construction projects looking to stay within their target budget and timeline.
Everwell at Bexley required a substitute for real wood beams and landed on Reatec Architectural Finishes (valued engineered product) to help them accomplish their vision within their budget and time frame.
The client was looking for an affordable option to make their beams standout. To do this, we engineered 1/8” Sintra panels (Class A fire rated) to hide any imperfections in the existing beams. These panels provided the perfect substrate to accept the Architectural Finish.
After discussing with the client the vision for their project, we landed on using Reatec architectural finishes to help create the space that they wanted. We used architectural overlay Reatec to cover the beams with a wood finish to give it the look of real wood at a fraction of the cost.
Reatec is an excellent option for clients looking to renovate their space or in new construction builds as it is lightweight, highly durable, affordable, and can be applied to both interior and exterior applications. There are over 1000s of patterns and finishes to choose from, including metal, wood, stone, and leather. For this project, the designer decided to go with a wood grain (Reatec RW 4089) to upgrade their space.
We couldn’t be happier with how we were able to enhance the interior of the apartments at the Everwell at Bexley.
